|
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 02:47 PM by Lenore
These attacks have no place in American policy... our troops have served heroically, deserve better... John McCain ought to ask for an apology from Rumsfield, from the administration... We need to debate the real issues, not the phony ones. The American people know.. that I support the soldiers.
Those who didn't study it properly, THEY got us into Iraq. They are trying to play a game, it's the sort of thing that makes Americans sick. I've fought a lifetime on behalf of veterans. This admin has let them down. They know what I said was a joke about this Admin.
Dick Cheney misleads America, John Mccain should ask HIM for an apology...
America deserves an discussion about real policy.
I will stand up anywhere across this country and take these guys on. THEY are using the troops. THEY are abusing the troops... That anyone would ever EVER insult the troops...shame on them, shame on them. May Americans take that shame to the polls next Tuesday.
(speed typing, missed ALOT, Kerry was GREAT!!)

It's one of his most oft-repeated lines. I don't know why more Dems don't use it. It reminds people of the disasterous response to Katrina and makes Bush's foreign policy look bad. I agree with you that it's worth repeating.

72. Repeating what I wrote elsewhere on my impressions on the Kerry Conference: |
|
I happened to catch Kerry's rebut on Fox as I was switching channels a few minutes ago, and found John Kerry to be very forceful and to really handle his "anger" against the GOP very well and what he said about the GOP tricks and Iraq were totally needed! Looks like he learned his lesson! :applause:
Dogged out McCain in the process. Waiting to see how McCain is going to react...as the press loooooves everything he ever says! :eyes:
The only thing I wished is that John Kerry would have used the words "Democrats" much more than "I" when he did his final questoin rant! He is not the only one that has been swiftboated and he is not the only Democrat that supports our Troops or has been attacked as weak on defense....and to some extent, he would have done Democrats a larger service right before election 2006 if he would have used the "We/Democrats" when answering his last questions during the press conference even though I realize that he felt personally maligned.
Also, Kerry's response during that press conference was much more about all that he suffered during election 2004 than it was about what he said in California.

73. Kerry's the standard-bearer for the Dem Party |
|
I think it will generalize to all Dems and be seen as a defense of all Democrats who, everyone knows, have been continually attacked for being weak on defense, etc. I think this will serve notice to the GOP that they're getting no more free rides, and models how to respond to being attacked for any other Dem candidates. He knows what he's doing. ;)
