15. Kerry just got a free mike and air time
all over the place, and he's gettin' in some major zingers at the GOP propoganda machine.
GOP wants to discuss Iraq? As they sometimes will say... "Bring it on"

2. CNN: "Kerry slammed Republicans for twisting his words"
http://www.cnn.com/
They'll probably change it later of course.

3. He made a standard joke about Idiot Son but
worded it awkwardly. RePUKES didn't get it and tried to say he was aiming it at the troops. Now he's on every news network to "explain" and he's kicking their asses.

9. Meanwhile, Dubya is twisting every which way to try to extricate himself from ...
being stuck in Iraq.

5. It IS?
Where, where? They're using it to trash the entire party on every channel. At least Cabal News Network has allowed a democrat to comment on the remark, even if they put him up against Bay Buchanan. But MSNBC just talked right over him and did a total smear-piece on him instead of covering his rebuttal.

Oops...CNN is back to letting Tony Snow demand an apology.

6. We've seen all of Rove's tricks. Kerry was prepared for this.
I hope the rest of the Democrats are also 'on message'.

7. It doesn't feel that way to me
It reminds me of 2004 and the sick feeling I had when the election was over...the feelings of hope we had when it looked like he would win that afternoon, and going to bed that night knowing we had four more years of Bush*...it brings back despondency to hear Kerry right before the 2004 elections, to me. I hope its just me, but the association between then and now gives me a sick feeling.

I don't like it.

I think its fucked up.

12. Give me a break, this isn't g oing to effect the election. Remember gay marriage in NJ? gone within
hours from the news.

17. "gawd, guns and gays" aint working
This is true.

I simply pointed out that having Kerry front and center at this moment before the 2006 elections gave me a sick feeling from remembering the dashed hope we had in the 2004 elections.

I'm sure that Rove's Mengele shrink wouldn't mind reminding dems of the 'futility of resistance'.....in that 'person association' sort of way.

Whatever, I'm still hopeful about next week because not being hopeful is self-defeating. Still, I feel a bit like Charlie Brown:

10. They are making an issue out of Kerry flubbing one sentence...
when the idiot actually said:
"It was not always a given that the United States and America would have a close relationship."

they did not do their home work. McCain is doing the apple and orange thing. No one better get in the way of McCain and seeing his name in print.

16. The problem with the whole Kerry comment
Is how the not so bright people interpret it. We know what he meant, but, and please forgive me because I am humanist, there is a large contingency of idiots that only heard the comment, and won't hear Kerry's explanation, or don't care to. I suppose it all depends on how much coverage his explanation gets, as opposed to Snow's press conference, and the original comment.
