... purty!

Did you get to take your tour group into Winthrop?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winthrop_House

I swear, you MUST have lived in Elliot Richardson's old room at some point - not to mention the year you lived three flights up from JFK's old rooms. I think Elliot Richardson's vibes were still left over, and you got possessed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elliot_Richardson

"Historically, Winthrop was one of the first Harvard houses open to Catholic and Jewish students."

Eliot House, you most certainly were not!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eliot_House

"Before Harvard opted to use a lottery system to assign residences to upperclassmen, Eliot was known as a 'prep' house, providing accommodation to the university's social elite. Vestiges of this remain in traditions like the spring formal, the Eliot Fête, and the house remains especially well-endowed, although Harvard no longer permits donors to fund individual houses."

That's putting it mildly.

... you've got to read this. The author(s) should be - if they're not already - writing for the big shows: http://club98.org/realclass/

9. OMG - this is excellent!
"MEET THE ROOMIES" - Holy crap! So totally you. You're JOE!!!

(David's frosh rooming group consisted of: (1) David, the coal miner's kid from WV; (2) X, the grandson of the last maharajah of an Indian province - no joke; (3) Y, the pampered surfer boy; and (4) Z, the son of immigrants, from the Bronx.)

"MORAL LUNACY 00: THE INJUSTICE OF JUSTICE" - OMG, this is f***ing brilliant! Who wrote this?!?

"GRANT: If I Were Starting Over, I would have paid more attention in section. Also, when I got my first C on a paper, I probably wouldn't have slapped my TF.

...

FLEXER: Well . . . yes . . . Do you think that John Stuart Mill means for us to intentionally kill the extra man on the lifeboat, or simply to allow him to die? Because I think . . . that we should ask whether he meant for us to push that man off. I mean, imagine if that man were, how shall we say it . . . fat? Is it not true that fat . . . floats? But then, the question is can our oceans sustain an overabundance of fat people, and justice is what is needed to control and overabundance of fat people in the worlds ocean.

TF: Sit peabrain! After hearing your answer, everyone in this room is now dumber. Let me give you the real answer, it all starts on page 46 of this weeks reading, now get this it’s going to be on the exam Damn! My chalk!

KISS-UP: Here, I have some. "

Please tell me they're already writing for SNL? They've got Lampoon written all over this!

10. Very fun. Cheney's been a real source
of inspiration for me, too.

Here I am...with a little padding.

Danke Cheney

16. Awesome!
Cheney is such a joke at this point. For the good of BushCo. - if not for the good of the country - he should step down.

12. Oh my god...can't stop giggling. K & R!
Don't know why they joke about "Addams family values" being akin to those of Repubs though...
IIRC, the Addams family were quite a loving family once Uncle Fester got sorted out...
and they not only got along with their 'different' neighbors (the ones who weren't jerks), they were quite pleased when a family member married one.

13. Shoot 'Em in the Back!
"In the back!!!"

http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=fester+coogan

Jackie Coogan was a genius. (But the "in the back" impulse is - admittedly - a bit "Cheney gone hunting with friends," huh?)

; )

Ides keeps his friends in stitches with this sort of stuff.

14. I don't remember that one...
I do remember that the young Jackie Coogan starred with Charlie Chaplin...can't remember the name of the movie...Coogan was 'the Kid'.
I remember this short clip of Chaplin fiercely kissing Coogan's cheek to show how glad he was at finally being reunited with his son, I think it was...
