1. I guess it isn't poor business practices
it's a concentrated effort to destroy them.

2. Well! How nice of them to provide us with a handy little list of our very own!
Now we can avoid those companies! Yay!

8. Oh, but it is
I'm starting with BofA... pulling my savings account and letting them know the reason why. I see many letters in my future.

5. Bank of America
I'll let them keep my checking account but my savings account?
It's going to another bank sometime this week. I think I will write them a letter telling them why they are losing this money.

6. To be fair, we should also check which ones run ads on RW talk radio
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 04:06 PM by 0rganism
It's probably incorrect to assume they're all in the blackout list for partisan reasons; many may wish to avoid advertising on controversial broadcasts of any sort, including the RW talkers. However, if there's a company on that list that isn't on the list for Pigboy, SavageWeiner, and OhReally, they've lost my business for sure.

It might be worth a call to Nicole at (212)735-1138 to suggest a release of similar lists for the other side's programming.

9. You would think it would make good business sense to
advertise to a wide audience segment of informed, intelligent liberals, especially with that list of goods and services.

10. And people were wondering why personalities like Mike Malloy.........
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 04:20 PM by nolabels
were being blamed or fired. It's just not possible to have a viable progressive agenda or media outlet in a fascist-corporate state. The people of AAR should get an award for lasting as long as they did.

A salute to United Corporate States of America

12. Did you read the enlarged list?
I was surprised to see the American Heart Association. I guess they're against the stem-cell research that could help people with heart disease?

Avon...isn't this a concept that's LONG outlived its usefulness?

Bank of America...they'll accept easily-forged Mexican ID cards, but they want to discourage you from getting a voter registration card that says "Democrat" on it. Shows where they stand: "Let's bring in lots of illegals and pay 'em next to nothing so we can break the backs of the unions!"

Bayer...screw 'em. Generic aspirin works as well, anyway.

Gold Bond powder...my aunt used that crap once, and all it did was give her a rash. Now we have TWO reasons never to buy it again.

Coke and Pepsi...taste like shit, give you osteoporosis, AND support Bu$hCo. Have they NO redeeming qualities?

Denny's...redneck heaven. 'Nuff said.

Discovery Channel...looks like they don't want people discovering alternative points of view, do they?

eHarmony.com...charging an arm and a leg to do what you can do on MySpace, for free.

Epson and HP...I'll remember this next time I shop for a printer.

Exxon Mobil...what a surprise.

FedEx...when it absolutely, positively, has to be censored overnight.

Frito-Lay...selling heart attacks in a bag for decades.

GE...they now make the WORST products. Bought a GE microwave, it died within a week. Bought another GE model, the turntable stopped working in five months. This memo is just one more reason to avoid their shoddy products.

Hershey's...no problem avoiding that. Their "chocolate" tastes like Ex-Lax, anyway.

Home Depot...Ground Zero for unscrupulous people who want to hire illegal aliens at substandard wages. That's about as Republican as a company's philosophy gets....

Hormel...sodium capital of the world. Don't eat their foods, and you'll extend your life expectancy by a good decade or more.

Kraft Foods...see above.

Levi's...one less reason to buy overpriced jeans.

McDonald's...see "Hormel" and "Kraft Foods".

MGM...what's this about "liberal" Hollywood? LOL!

Microsoft...two words: "Mac" and "Linux"

Nissan, Sony...so, American CEO's of these companies are now dragging the names of the Japanese through the mud. Yurusenai!!

Office Depot...OfficeMax's prices are better, anyway.

Proctor and Gamble...generic brands work just as well, a**holes.

Pier 1 Imports...like I really wanted to buy stupid-looking crap to put in my house, in the first place.

Toys R Us...as if their return policy wasn't enough reason NOT to purchase from them.

U.S. Navy...glad to hear they're fighting for "freedom".

USPS...raise prices while reducing services, the old Republican way!

Walgreens...if my HMO didn't force me to get my meds there, I wouldn't set foot in that place.

Wal-Mart...I thought it was too good to be true, when I heard Wal-Mart commercials on our local Air America Radio.

Welch's and Wrigley...more sugar-laden crap people should be avoiding, anyway.

As Juniperx said, this gives us a handy-dandy list of companies to boycott. Un-American bastards, all!!
