8. Actually, a little re-working of the question, and . . . |
|
Ms. O'Donnell, with the exposure of the sad facts surrounding the work of so-called independent journalists such as Armstrong Williams and Maggie Gallagher actually being on the administration's payroll, will you state categorically that you are not similarly receiving payments from the United States government?

3. How is it that you get a paycheck for not doing your job? |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 04:09 PM by Kerrytravelers
If I didn't do my job, I'd get fired. Can you explain that to me?
Edited to add: I've actually asked reporters that before. I'm in LA, so we have a ton of media floating around all over the place. I live in an area that they often use for fluff piece backdrops. It isn't too hard to walk right up to a reporter. They usually think you're there to compliment them. When I, in all seriousness and without being emotional, simply ask them when they are going to start doing their job and reporting. I tell them I spend many hours reading the foreign press to find out what is going on in the world and it would be much appreciated to me and to our democracy and really, to the globe in general if they were to start reporting and analyzing news again. I thank them and tell them I'll be checking to see when they decide to do their job again.
The reporters are always in shock because they weren't expecting it. People with me get a kick out of it because I am so calm and soft spoken when I say it. One day, I was just so sick of it all, I couldn't help myself. Now, it's expected that I will say something. It's my only form of social rebellion.

6. Why can't you be more like Brian Williams? As Frank Luntz said about him, |
|
his ideological bias is BARELY DETECTABLE, while yours is painfully obvious. Oh, and a follow-up: Have you been working on your resume, as your time as a BushCo cheerleader appears to be drawing to a close?

Isn't he the same guy that made a political event out of the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics? He totally ruined it for me making comments about what war each country was fighting.

9. This is a question she asked a couple of weeks ago... |
|
On the October 18 edition of MSNBC News Live, MSNBC chief Washington correspondent Norah O'Donnell asked Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) to go "on the record" with a "promise" that Democrats "will not issue tens or hundreds of subpoenas to the White House when it comes to Katrina, Iraq, and a number of issues" that would "make the president's final two years in office a living hell."
So ask her if she would go "on the record" with a "promise" that she will not become a bigger whore than she already is when the Dems take back congress?
