If you are frustrated as your good OPs vanish too quickly; READ THIS
I have seen several very strong messages disappear MUCH faster than usual today and I just want to share something with those True Patriots who might be thinking of not posting here anymore:

FIRST, THEY IGNORE YOU

THEN, THEY LAUGH AT YOU

THEN, THEY FIGHT YOU

THEN, YOU WIN!

Mahatma Gandhi

Keep in mind it is likely not REAL democrats and patriots doing these things.

1. Well, everyone seems hellbent on starting a brand new Kerry thread
instead of contributing to already existing ones. I've said elsewhere I wish the mods would combine threads that replicate a debate when it seems like every bozo wants to repeat the same information thirty times in individual venues.

5. Probably frustrating, but...
... I don't know that referring to fellow DU posters as "bozos" is the best way to encourage continued participation. Some of us are pretty new, and maybe not quite as clear on what should be put in a separate post. For example, I wrote a piece about the double standard with Kerry and Bush and the things they have said. It isn't really something new, but it isn't the same discussion about Kerry's remarks, either. I may not post that correctly, but I would leave it to a moderator to move it if I don't.

My two cents.

12. Well, the bozos to whom I refer have appeared like magic
I've never seen them before, they're not "regulars" but they are suddenly all "fearful" and "concerned" and didactically finger wagging about how "we" have to worry about what the GOP "thinks" about things, and how "we" should just all take our ball and go home, because Kerry's remarks will "ruin" the House races. Their arguments are all remarkably similar, too. The central theme is BE VERY AFRAID.

If that isn't warped logic, to put the best possible face on remarks of that ilk, I don't know is. It smells like a voter supression tactic to me, though of COURSE that wasn't the intent.... :sarcasm:

It's horseshit, and people who talk along those lines ARE bozos, IMO. They sure aren't on my team, and I wouldn't want anyone like that doing phone banking or precinct walking or any other GOTV efforts on our behalf.

I'd call them something worse, but that would get me in hot water with the moderators, frankly!

18. Ah. Those bozos. Got it.
Being relatively new to the boards here at DU, I don't really know who or what is regular around here. You are referring to a sudden influx of supposedly Democratic naysayers.

Cleared up. Thank you!

Ah well, I guess I picked the wrong day. I am a little disappointed, but I'm not taking it personally.

4. Don't you think
that some of this stuff may be from interlopers that want to keep it going. Don't forget that this is an open place to debate, as it should be, but there may be some deep cover rethugs trying to manipulate the conversation? If you don't like a repetitious thread ignore it, it will go away. Good Dems. don't stifle free speech unless it is obviously inflamatory or false.

17. No problem, I was joining in the sarcasm.
And I just like posting pictures of trolls (specifically troll CLOWNS!), whenever troll activity abounds.
Next best choice:

This should show up in DU ads!

6. And some other little tidbits
Why do you think the people who lived behind the iron curtin thought America was their enemy? Their government told them so...

Who told you Osama bin not lookin for him was America's most wanted terrorist? Your government...

Who has turned a criminal act into the right to wage endless war? Your government...

Does the news media report what is truthfull or what they want you to believe is the truth?

9. Right now I'd take a missing woman somewhere
If a new one turned up missing then maybe the media would stop talking about what Kerry meant as interpreted by the RW - from Bush to the pundits - and eventually meander back to things that matter.
