They should pose the same question of Bushie...

Did Bush nominate Alito for conviction or politics...?
Conviction was Harriet Meirs. Politics is Sam Alito.

They have no concept that there is a Constitutional issue here, that this is a moment with consequences for our system of government. I'm thinking of a story I posted about Wolf Blitzer getting facials at the Ritz-Carlton Doha. Imagine Ed Murrow there? Damn these stupid show horses to hell.

77. LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I VOTE 'CONVICTION'...
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 08:07 PM by Triana
When I chose 'conviction' the vote does not register and the result page is not displayed.

HOWEVER, if I vote 'politics' then the result is recorded and the result page IS displayed.

I've tried it on both Firefox and IE.

Can you say FIXED POLL?

CNN has FIXED THIS POLL folks. 'Conviction' votes are often being rejected and not registered. Or, at least that's been MY experience!

Why is our party so fractured? I know we have about a million theories why but it's still so frustrating. He is obviously doing what we all want him to with the Alito nomination and there is still this "he's grandstanding" mentality.

92. This is a useless poll and unfair to Kerry
because most all of the sheep would pick "politics", no matter what the other choices are. As long as it's a politician, ANY politician, people are going to pick politics if that is one of the choices. I call foul!!

94. The Huston Plan, Rex 84 Plan, and now The Bush Plan
to suspend the constitution

I guess Sen Kerry found out about Robert's and Alito's role in the Reagan years re oversight of executive orders and passing on 'constitutionality' of clearly unconstitutional acts !
