That same year, a friend of Harriman and Bush set up a giant new organization for their client Fritz Thyssen, prime sponsor of politician Adolf Hitler. The new German Steel Trust, Germany's largest industrial corporation, was organized in 1926 by Wall Street banker Clarence Dillon. Dillon was the old comrade of Prescott Bush's father Sam Bush from the `` Merchants of Death '' bureau in World War I.

was built by U.S. financial institutions and U.S. manufacturers such as GM, Ford, GE, Kodak and Dupont. Standard Oil (now Exxon) profited from a 50/50 partnership with IG Farbin, the company that built the concentration camps and slave labor factories.

I can easily imagine Standard Oil profiting in some secretive, circuitous manner from Nazi activities throughout the war, and would not be even slightly surprised to find such was indeed the case.

The mechanisms that allow this sort of war profiteering, are institutionalized into our government, and will not be eliminated by the defeat of the Bush family or even the neocons as political forces in our government. The changes required are much deeper and more revolutionary.
