I AM SO SICK OF REPUKES ASKING WHY DID JOHN KERRY VOTE FOR IRAQ... |
|
GOD DAMN HE ANSWERED THAT QUESTION!!!!
He stated back in 2004 he voted because of the information the White House put forward as proof. He stated if they had seen the info that came out in the following years he would have voted NO. Give it a rest people. They keep harping on this. FUCK!!!! That is why we can not get anything done in this country, they keep rehashing the same old shit every year. The repukes are stuck in the past, that is why they keep wanting to live like 9/11 just happened. They want us to live our lives in fear and anguish. We have been there and done that. We see how their policies have torn this country apart.
We are not safer. We are not fighting terrorists in Iraq to keep them from coming here. No you keep them from coming here by going after them in all the places they hide. You use international partnerships and go after them with your allies help. You follow their money trails, you identify cells and you break them up. You do not attack a country that had nothing to do with terrorists. You do not go into a war without a plan for getting out of that war. You do not allow your Secretary of Defense tell his generals he will fire the next one that wants to talk about an exit strategy.
Their economy is growing, yeah for the top 20%. I have not seen any of these wonderful tax cuts they keep talking about.
Sorry for the rant but it just PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!

1. I'll actually defend Kerry on this |
|
It was not a declaration of war.
Who doesn't understand the difference?

3. They hide from responsibility |
|
and I feel your pain. I agree with all above and wish only to point out that Kerry did not plan the invasion, the occupation nor was he Commander-in-Chief during this whole fiasco. The GOP owns all of this. The Rethugs can't competently govern period.

8. They keep asking why the Democrats have not tried to fix anything. |
|
And why have they not put in their own plan. Because we are not in charge, anything that we put forward would be voted down in committee. So we can not do anything cause we do not have control. We have to get control to start fixing and changing things.

He has lied and lied, and people are dying for it. Clinton lied and no one died. Bush lies and nearly 3000 American soldiers are sent through a meat grinder. Not sure where the Iraqi count is.

11. Kerry's problem was that he didn't just come out and say it like that. |
|
He danced around it and didn't want to sound like a bad guy. If he had just said "Bush presented us with lies. I assumed that our president wouldn't do that and that the WMD information was correct and voted for him. When it became clear that he was untruthful, I voted the way everyone should have." But he was never that direct. If the Kerry that is responding to the White House right now had been in the debates, I think he would have done much better.

13. Well, he could have been direct without sounding like a bad guy |
|
He could have said, I was given information I have since learned is false. Had I known that this information was false when it came up for a vote, I would have absolutely said NO.
