Is the full story of the ammo dump explosion under wraps until Nov. 8?
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 12:06 AM by marmar
Mike Malloy ended his show with a call and a discussion about the explosion a few weeks ago in Iraq, and apparently there's a video of it on YouTube. There's been a lot of speculation about as many as 300 Americans dead as a result, but none from "legitimate" media sources.
Is this something we're going to hear about Nov. 8, along with the price of gas shooting up to 3.50 a gallon?
 :scared:

1. That's been my guess for a few days now.
Oh, and thanks for reminding me to gas up my car Tuesday morning.

4. Heard the soldier say "it's not blowing toward us"
I wonder if there were chemical weapons?

5. Didn't this story lose a lot of credibility because it was being plugged by a white supremacy site?

6. That I hadn't heard....
If that's true, I can see why it lost credibility. Then again, isn't the Army supposedly being infiltrated by white supremacists?

7. Ammo/explosives storage facilities are constructed so that if anything goes off
the resulting blast is deflected by earth and rock/concrete berms to go upward, away from personnel in the area. Standard design for anything containing 'energetic' materials. "It's not blowing toward us" probably means just that - the stuff wasn't being blasted toward the troops, but instead was directed upward due to the safety features designed into the storage facility.

and lots that doesn't. Sorry, it's late, I have no links to back this up.

I think it was a big boom, lots of weapons/ammo destroyed, but low casualties.

Several injured? very possible. Several dead? not likely.
