Who is writing the copy for AAR news now? |
|
I'm just now listening to the AAR news on KPHX after the end of the Malloy show. They are repeating the straight repug line on Kerry. They paraphrased his line from yesterday as something like "you'd better study in school, or else you'll end up in Iraq". Followed up with a soundbite from someone about how he should apologize. Nothing else, nothing to give an inkling of what their on-air talent (and DU) have been saying all day.
I hadn't thought the rot had gotten that far into AAR yet, but I might have been wrong.

2. Sounds like the news we get on LA's AAR station (KTLK-1150) |
|
The same uncritical mouthing of Rethug talking points and sound bites you get on other radio stations, although occasionally they will tack on a mention of a Democratic rejoinder.

5. Considering their financial situation, not surprising |
|
Syndicating content is way cheaper than hiring staff and producing your own news.

3. I know what you're talking about |
|
Drives me nuts, but I think it's just canned news feed that they buy and air directly.
The rare times I watch CNN I am just disgusted. The phrasing and inflection (sarcasm or enthusiasm) from the newsreaders is worse than soap opera camp.

6. I'm talking about the actual newscast produced by AAR, |
|
what you hear if you listen to the network stream, not like some of the affiliates who run CNN radio news ( :puke: ) or similar. They have actually been pretty good in the past, although the quality varies. But this just stuck out as blatant RW propaganda.

4. I noticed that earlier today... It was framed as.. |

Bush addresses Kerry's comments and republicans demand apology. I couldn't believe I was hearing it on AAR.
