The sky is not falling! We are going to win. |
|
Geeeez we are all on edge. Kerry may have tangled his words, though he spoke the truth loudly and with conviction. How ever ya spin it, it is really no big deal either way. We have the momentum and like a Blue freight train barreling down the tracks there is way too much energy behind it to get derailed at this late date. Stack that up against the tragedy of over 100+ soldiers dying in Oct, Rush's pitiful and cowardly blasting of Micheal J. Fox, BushCo's continued approval ratings nationwide at sub 40% with the war at the MOST unpopular its ever been; and even today George Allen's thugs attacking a reporter. All in Oct - compared to the Kerry controversy is....no comparison! The Kerry thing is a small pothole (at worst) on our road to victory. I just hope Dems won't run from it. Don't let it distract. Don't sweat the small stuff.
I thought U.S. Sen Max Cleland's words today were most assuring (from CNN):
He defended Kerry and applauded the senator for showing "Our party how to fight back with the truth."
and added:
"John Kerry is a patriot who has fought tooth and nail for veterans ever since he came home from Vietnam. He has stood with his brothers in arms unlike this administration, which exploits our troops to make a political point and divide America,"
Last week there were numerous threads of doom and gloom that Lieberman was dividing the party. Yes, he's a coward; though as much as that ex-dem deserves not to beat Lamont, he is but an annoying blip on the radar. No need to bring out Chicken Little. We will prevail nationally. We will win the house. We will win the majority of the governorships. And just maybe, we will bag the senate too. :applause:
The issues that are fueling our victory are far, far more compelling than the words of a single man; even a former Presidential nominee. The issues that propel us were seeded years ago and are deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Lets wake up tomorrow with a focus on the BIG stuff. The battles in TN, MO, and VA in particular. As they say in the MSM, this Kerry story doesn't have legs. There was no October surprise. On these last 7 days, lets not waste precious energy listening to empty saber rattling by the rethugs. No distraction and they will try and milk Kerry's words for just that. The finish line is just ahead, we are going to win...damn its gonna be sweet!

6. What does "we are goin to win" mean? |
|
Do you mean that we will win back the house and the senate? Or that we will pick up seats in both houses? What does winning mean? If we are one shy of taking over the house, have we lost?

7. I'd be a little more optimistic if I didn't live in such Bizarro country. |
|
the 2004 election is the best example: Everyone knows Bush got out of serving in Vietnam and still he's considered a warrior. Kerry actually fought in Vietnem and is conisdered weak.
