Kerry flop: nobody is talking about IRAQ today. Rove laughs manically
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 10:44 AM by Julius Civitatus
It was meant to happen. Rove and his Rovian flying monkeys were going to take a a minor flop, anything silly that a prominent Democrat may say and turn it into wingnut fodder, into a scandal of major proportions. It was Kerry this time, as it could have been anyone else.

In the meantime nobody is talking about Iraq, the mess we have created there, the 100+ American soldiers killed this month, or the increasing instability in the region.

Instead, even Democratic representatives (Harold Ford) are calling for Kerry to apologize for a comment taken out of context. CNN this morning (Miles O'Brien) played the video repeatedly and suggested, over and over again, that Kerry insulted the troops. So did Lou Dobbs last night.

Mission accomplished for Karl! Another successful swiftboating operation. Now it's all about Kerry, not about the failed team that sent 3000 troops to their deaths for a lie.

4. Yes they are and some thing is going on over there.
Looks like some one has lost control of what our troops can do. What is up with that? Can amy one tell me just what we are doing in that country? It is one big mess.

3. This WILL bite the GOP in the ass. The talking heads can only stay stuck
on stupid, repeating the same shit, for one news cycle. Then they have to go get more meat to feed the lions, and the meat they'll get, seeing as the issue is Iraq, is stuff ABOUT Iraq, like say, why are we permitting our military to take orders from a fat bastard shi'a leader through our puppet al-Malaki?

5. Could the public be this stupid?
Let's see: Chaos and quagmire in Iraq, Iraq costing 2 billion dollars a week, our military getting killed and maimed, Republican scandals all around, jobs being outsourced, debt increasing, world more dangerous because of Iraq, no Osama -- but on the other hand: Kerry left out one word in a speech!
So people will now vote to keep Republicans in power?
I hope not!

6. Yes. The general public don't care
Too busy worrying about real issues, like American Idol, Brangelina's baby or Madonna's adoption.

:argh:

7. I think you're probably right
which is unfortunate for the rest of us!
Scary.

8. I wish Kerry was a girl
Then John Sweeny could beat him up and the whole issue would be settled.
