Bush: "I repeat: the only reason we could lose in Iraq is if we leave"

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_110106/content/eib_interview.guest.html

<snip>

THE PRESIDENT: This is an essential part of the war on terror, and I believe responsible leaders must come up with a plan for victory in order to achieve peace, and yet the only plan I hear is, one: let's get out of Iraq before the job is done -- which would be a disaster for a future generation of Americans. Getting out of Iraq, Rush, all that would do is embolden an enemy and dash the hopes of millions who count on the United States to help them secure freedom, and getting out of Iraq would make the country less secure. One of the interesting things about this war that is different from previous wars, is in previous wars you could leave the battlefield and the enemy would stay close to the battlefield. In this war, if you leave the battle, the enemy follows us home to America -- and that's one of the lessons of September the 11th, and that's one of the reasons why we will win in Iraq. I repeat: the only reason we could lose in Iraq is if we leave, and, therefore, we've got kids sacrificing in Iraq, and when they hear politicians say, "Get out before the job is done," that's discouraging to them, and it's discouraging to the Iraqis, and it's encouraging to the enemy. That's why my voice is so loud in saying to our troops: "What you're doing is noble and important and you're going to win and history will look back and thank you for your sacrifices."

2. Please define what it is we are doing there?
What exactly constitutes "getting the job done"?
What is that job? How do they accomplish it?

Simply staying for the f*ck of it is not "winning"!

4. Not only needs to define "win" and "lose," but also "we."
I mean, BushCo loses if they leave Iraq. Halliburton loses a cash cow, BushCo loses the oil it stole, the Republicans look bad. So if "we" means "Me and my rich oil buddies," I guess he's telling the truth. That would be a first.

If by "we" he means America, then he needs to explain what winning and and losing mean, and then he needs to be arrested.

8. Why don't we sacrifice your children over there, George?
I may not live to see it, but I can die replete in the knowledge that some day history will look back on you with the same disdain it now regards Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.

Go fuck yourself George.

10. I have a friend
who is a former Marine doing some work here. When he saw Bush saying that on tv, he just shook his head and said, "He doesn't have any idea what he's talking about."

19. Ergo: we can never leave.
Because you're all about "winning", aren't you george? Compromise doesn't even enter your mind, does it? No, that would take "diplomacy", something about which you know nothing. You don't care how many of America's sons and daughters have to die, you just don't want to appear "the loser". Here's a news-flash for you, george: you're already a loser, you've always been a loser. Even when you thought you were winning, you've been a loser. Nothing will ever change that. You're doomed to go down in history as one of America's greatest losers. The problem is you're taking an entire country down with you. THAT'S how BIG a loser you are, george! :grr:

20. So staying in Iraq,
accomplishing little or nothing worthwhile-and-lasting (indeed, making things worse for ourselves overall), squandering our resources, and getting our people killed and mutilated, is "winning".

It seems to me that this should be called "losing".

But I suppose a loser must define losing as winning, so that he may be seen as something other than a loser -- if only by those desperate to do so.
