People? Have we beat the Kerry horse to death yet? If so.... |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 02:09 PM by badgerpup
What's happening of REAL importance...like, with ELECTIONS? Who's up in the polls? Has Lieberman managed to shoot himself in the foot yet? Is Lamont pulling any closer?
How have antics of Allen's 'over-protective' goon squad affected his polls? Anyone found out what the sealed records are about?
There's a lot of important threads here...and they're getting BURIED in Kerry spam... and most of the stuff is stuff we already know!
Let's agree... Kerry misspoke. The Repubs tried to make a big thing of it. Kerry came back with a magnificent ass-kicking. The Repubs are still trying to make a big thing of it. It will most likely backfire on them...the pendulum is swinging away from them and they are in the 'damned if they do, damned if they don't' phase. OK?
Personally, I think they're making themselves look pretty foolish over this...but that's nothing new anymore.
So...what's new?
edit because I ought to have mentioned Iraq FIRST thing. I'M one who owes an apology to our troops...

1. Not yet. I was going to post how much this was actually helping the Dems |
|
Since even when people are bashing Kerry, they are talking about the single worst issue for the Republicans, and that can't be good for them. When we win next week, let's send flowers to Tony Snow to thank him for throwing the Repubs off message and helping ours.

This is 99% media-driven.
Voters want to talk about Iraq, the economy (lack of pay raises, not investors' good fortune under the reward-the-rich republic administration), security (that thing the republics can't seem to get right despite all their hot air), etc.
Only spinmeisters and their willing servants give any extra time to the republics' spin on these "issues". It's done. Anyone keeping it going... well... I don't want to say outright, but...

12. Let me clarify my statement... |
|
This item will be used by our worthless corporate owned media as an easy talking point to explain the 'mysterious' shift in the election results from favoring Democratic candidates to Republican.
That's why it's being covered 99% by the media.

10. Hopefully my final 2-cents on this |

Kerry flubs a joke. bush and the repubs pounce on it - why? because they have NOTHING to run on.
FEAR hasn't work. SMEAR isn't doing much good. So they get their tighty-whities jammed up their butt crack over a flubbed joke.
Dems run for the hills over a flubbed joke.
if the entire election hinges on one flubbed joke - then the joke is on us.
one joke and we will have more of the same for at least the next 2 years. more rubberstamping, more corporate/lobby money dictating legislation.
One joke and we'll have less freedom.
Our entire country, our values, our freedoms are hinging on how well someone can spin a flubbed joke.
On one hand we have one flubbed joke by a respected and qualified Senator on the other hand we have a joker who's flubbed everything he's ever touched.
