Bush to Hannity: "we are very joyful, ... and we're having a wonderful time"
As long as we're making a national past-time out of taking quotes out of context, here are some good ones out of today's news:

From Bush's interview yesterday with Sean Hannity:

President Bush on North Korean Threat, Presidential Decision-Making Process
Wednesday, November 01, 2006

<snip>

HANNITY: You've been at this six years. What do you like best about your job? What do you like least about your job?

BUSH:

<snip>

It's — what I do like about the job is, one, I like to be the commander in chief of a military that has earned my utmost respect. I am — you know, when I go to a hospital and meet a kid who's lost a leg and says, "I want to go back into combat," I'm — first of all, I have a little trouble talking about it because I get so emotional, but I am amazed that we have produced such amazing people.

I enjoy making decisions. You know, there's something exciting about reading and studying history and realize you're making history with it. And one of the lessons, by the way, about when you read history is that, after your presidency, you know, it's going to take a while for the historians to fully understand the decisions you made, if you're making big decisions, and so therefore you don't worry about history.

I like to say there's a portrait of George Washington in the Oval Office. I often look at him. I've read three history books about him. And if they're still analyzing the No. 1 guy's presidency, old No. 43 needs to not worry about it.

But I enjoy it {being president}. I love our country. And I enjoy the fact that Laura and I are happy, as well. And it may seem counterintuitive to some of your listeners that you could be happy and be the president, but we are very joyful, very grateful and we're having a wonderful time, you know, as people who love each other.

2. Here's a lie that jumps right out at you....
I would hope in my last two years I can — and, by the way, I've never really resorted to name-calling. And I'm not trying to say, well, you know, I'm innocent and everybody else is guilty. That's not what I'm trying to say. But I understand that it's one thing to disagree with a person, but it's another thing to have to resort to kind of shameless name-calling. And I really don't think it's fitting for the president to drag the presidency into that kind of a mudslinging.

3. "Things that bother you
never bother me I'm so happy I'm fine! HAHA! Livin' in the sunlight, laughin' in the moonlight, having a wonderful time!"

Seriously, I can't wait for Laura to divorce this asshole as soon as his damn term ends.

4. This asshole is having a good old time.....
while our sons and daughters are dying needlessly because of his policies.

The smug smirk is the result of feeling entitled. He's never had to pay the consequences of any of his mistakes. Others pay, he is oblivious. I hate that motherfucker with a passion!!

5. Hey, Georgie-
When you're enjoyin' your being joyful and happy and all that, do you ever wonder if the families of the soldiers you sent to their deaths in your unnecessary, deceitful little war, and those of the soldiers you've gotten bogged down there, are feeling just as "joyful" and "happy?" Does it really make you "joyful" and "happy" to make decisions that cost lives every day that you continue to bog us down in that quagmire? And how in the holy name of hell can you be "joyful" and "happy" and "having a wonderful time" when we're at war and you're doing all of the above? You, sir, are nothing short of a sickening, pathetic excuse for a human being and a waste of human skin. You better hope you don't try to draft my teenage son in a few years.

7. At least LBJ looked contrite and ashamed on national TV
Amid the death and chaos he has wrought, Bush looks like he's having the good ole boy, dueling banjos time of his life.

lovey-dovey with Laura---answering a question that wasn't asked.

Maybe the Democrats need to bring up his December 2001 declaration:
"But all in all, it's been a fabulous year for Laura and me."

9. Yeah and our 140,000 guys in Iraq are enjoying the hell out themselves too!
The guys in Walter Reed that will never be whole again are joyous, the folks wishing they could get into the VA but can't because of the "reconciliation" that you had to have, why they are so damn "Thankful" they are fit to be tied. You have brought those emotions to an entire Country, you Jerk!

I would start worrying about what history will have to say because the only "Old 43" it will be kind to is Richard "The King" Petty. What do you think Cindy Sheehan and a legion of other Parents, Wives and Children have to say about you? It must be great to be totally oblivious...

10. The disconnect between reality and whatever goes on in his head...
...is really too much. For anyone to support a man who is joyful when 104 US soldiers were killed last month in a "war" he started for no good reason...well I just don't know.

...here he is relaxing with other Bush family members recently:

Drunk? Sure, but only "nicely drunk" as his family would say.

12. He's a "joyful" POS
I despise self-centered people who inanely crow about being joyful while so many other people in the world are suffering. I especially despise people who joyfully CAUSE other people to suffer. There should be a special room in hell for people like that--and I hope waterboarding is included on the "activities menu".:evilfrown: :evilgrin:
