It is interesting about Virginia - |
|
That Webb was down three points before Allen released his old novel excerpts - now Webb is up by four points.
So not only did it not help Allen - it appears to have hurt him - OR something else is happening.
I notice they shifted to just positive adds in Virginia now, according to MSNBC.
Boy, change is definately in the air.

1. MSNBC is full of shit. |
|
Allen has not run a positive ad in weeks. Jim's ads have been about 50-50, but his negative ads have all been about pointing out that Allen is a lying piece of shit, and then pointing out exactly how.

2. The new Allen add they showed - that they said he is running |

is like a pathetic plea - "please vote for me, pretty please"
I don't trust FOX, CNN or MSNBC either.

3. They call it "blowback." |

People are sick to death of nasty, negative, overly PERSONAL campaign ads.
People finally are less concerned with what a candidate eats for breakfast and more concerned with what he's going to do if he gets into office.
I think the wit and wisdom of Lee Atwater have run their course and attacking an opponent's character may finally be passe.
Wilson (R-COW) saw a healthy lead turn into an 8 point disadvantage. I think it's because she did blitz advertising, negative and nasty, starting in late July and still continuing.
She tried to call herself a MODERATE in one ad, but nobody bought that, either.
