Good Lord.

He went on about how badly Harriet Myers compares to Alito. Then said Myers withdrew because she'd have to answer questions about advice she'd given to bush, so she just withdrew to spare he and herself that violation of lawyer-client privilege. "And that's all that was about."

Hey jeff, if she was so weak and unable to withstand the Constitutinally mandated process of approval by the Senate, then why did his majesty bush nominate her?

Sheesh.

He's referring to Dems over and over as "them." Its like the Democrats aren't even there as far as he's concerned.

Then he goes on about how wrong it was of "them" (Dems) to question alito on the domestic spying crime, er, issue, because he, alito, wasn't involved in the creating of those programs - as if alito might never hear a case about that very damned thing.. Then he explains how its all ok for bush to spy on Americans anyway because its within his power...

Now reading letters of support for alito: "polite, kind, generous...."

Oh, is that all it takes?

evidently not, he's also "modest and unassuming"

Who the hell would vote for this guy?

8. I know. Cathy Cox, our Dem. Sec of State made GA 1st all Diebold state.
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 07:59 PM by CottonBear
I used to like her. Hell, I've met her when lobbying for my profession at the capitol. I can't believe what she did to our state. I will not vote for her for Governor.

Former Gov. Roy Barnes should've appointed someone else to replace Sen. Coverdell. Barnes was going to loose anyway because of the flag flap.

15. Was just reading about GA and 2002 and diebold and cox. "Stunning" results
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 08:15 PM by Skip Intro

Her 2002 election results page doesn't mention chambliss or perdue.

http://www.sos.state.ga.us/elections/election_results/2004_1102/default.htm

----------

saxby says it was, "one of the most stunning and historical victories of the midterm elections."

http://www.sos.state.ga.us/elections/election_results/2004_1102/default.htm

----------

cnn says "no exit poll data is available for the 2002 elections"

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2002/data/epolls/states/GA/G/00/epolls.html

----------
----------

I think GA was like the first or second state to report that night.

18. We GA Democrats were beyond stunned. We lost Cleland that night
as well as Gov. Roy Barnes and the majority in both the senate and, ultimately in the house when DINOS switched parties prior to being sworn into office.

We are still depressed. Now they've rammed through a Voter ID (ie don't let poor minorites vote) law and they're splitting my blue town into two Repub. districts. HELP! SOS!
