DNC Democracy Bonds, Dean, Alito |
|
Why doesn't Dr. Dean make it clear that the DNC will not support any senate Democrat that votes for Alito or for cloture? Isn't it time? What the heck is that damn Democracy Bond for anyhow? Am I giving money Senators that are voting with the Republicans?

Look I give money every month through what is supposed to be the top organization of the Democratic Party. You are telling me that the DNC cannot or should not enforce party discipline via funding? Why the heck not?

11. Party infrastructure, state organizing, Democracy bonds are for that. |
|
Schumer of the DSCC has more money than God that he has collected in the DSCC this year.
If you are giving for candidates, you give through the DSCC and DCCC.
Or the DLCC (not the DLC...the DLCC).

2. He has no authority to make that call. |

You need to educate yourself on what Dean and the DLC can and cannot do.

4. OK but Dean is the head of the DNC not the DLC |
|
and I just asked. Thanks for the non-explanation.
If the DNC cannot enforce party discipline through funding then my money is going to go to groups that can. End of story.

The DNC is an organization designed to support, work towards and raise money for Democrats who seek to gain office or to retain their seats. It has NO authority over the Legislative, Executive or Judicial branch. It can report communications from members/supporters, it can offer advice if asked but it cannot promote one Democratic candidate over another(ala DCCC & DLC). Party discipline is "enforced" by the Majority/Minority leader (whichever is applicable).

12. So if Zell Miller claimed he were a Democrat |
|
The DNC would have to help fund his candidacy? It makes no determination about qualification? I call bullshit.
But the point is that I'm going to do something about this crap. Right now my money is going through the DNC. If that money is going to 'Democrats' who have voted for tyranny then I am going to rethink where my money goes.

The mere fact that they have a D next to their name qualifies them for DNC monies. Personally, I stopped donating monies a LONG time ago to national-type organizations -- I don't approve of where the monies go. OTOH, when I donate locally, time money or both, I absolutely DO know where the monies go. I will sometime donate monies to non-local campaigns but in that case I'll donate DIRECTLY to the campaign and not to any type of PAC or umbrella organization such as the DNC.
Your orignal question had to with something about why doesn't the DNC do something to influence the Senators; hence, my anser to you.

6. What does the DLC have to do with money distribution? |
|
I suspect you may have meant DNC in your post but maybe not. If not what does Dean dispersing money through DNC have to do with DLC and why should we give money if it is to be distributed amongst Politicians we strongly disagree with? I do believe that is exactly what Deans position is. To raise and disperse money throughout the Party.

use the DNC to bring the Republican-voting Democrats into line. Like I said, if the DNC is not going to force the issue, I'm going to give my money through groups that will.
