Kennedy says "Support is building for a filibuster"
cites Durbin, Stabenow and Sarbanes as coming forward.

sorry it's fox news folks
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,182933,00.html

Let's keep hope alive! (Somehow I'm dreaming that the Dems are building up Republican self-confidence by leaking that they will not support a filibuster, to throw them off-guard and then on Tuesday providing votes enough for a filibuster).

2. So, how many vertebrae are in the Dem spine, now? Is it five?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 08:57 PM by Fridays Child
Kerry, Kennedy, Sarbanes, Stabenow, Durbin. Who else?

edit: Okay, Wyden. Six and counting?

5. If Stabenow went, I bet Levin will do the same. They are pretty much a
matched pair.

7. And where's Feinstein?
I wonder if Byrd will come back to the fold, and aren't there two other turncoat Dems?

8. I heard a RUMOR that Clinton is thinking about opposing a filibuster.
She must be persuaded that would be political suicide....especially if Roe goes down. If she needs an "out" she can always abstain" from a vote to end a filibuster. .... We do not need 41 to sustain a filibuster, but they need 60 to shut down the debate. If they can't get 60 votes, the debate goes on no matter how few votes we have to continue the debate.

13. They REALLY need to beat down Salazar
to support the filibuster as well. As a General Attorney in Colorado, he should know that Alito is more than unqualified to be a Justice.

16. Is Feingold about to become..
.. my former hero instead of remaining
a hero by supporting a filibuster against
Alito?

Reid, too.

What's the matter with the formerly strong
and decisive Dems?

Who got to them? And how did that happen?

I want to know.

18. What is with Feingold anyway?
I always thought of him as the leader of the loony-left, or whatever it is they call us these days.
He has been a little too quiet.
