In Dallas - Motorcade with bunch of cops and helicopter - help!

Please help me figure out who this might have been in Dallas, TX last night.

I was at a red light last night (Halloween) about 6:15 near the Bush Tollway and Marsh. A motorcycle cop stopped traffic from moving and this long motorcade came driving through the intersection. There were 3 limo's, about 8 SUV's - 4 in front and 4 in back of the limo's some with little American flags flying from the sides, about 15 motorcycle cops leading the front and 40-50 following behind the SUV's and a helicopter overhead - above the limo's. They were going pretty fast... but I had to sit through two light changes waiting and I was the third car from the light....

Anyway, it's driving me crazy trying to figure out who this was in Dallas.... I can't imagine all that security except for Bush, Cheney, Pickles... I've searched the Dallas morning news and listened to the news since I saw this but I can't find anything out.

The Bush Tollway would go to the airport and they were heading toward the tollway.

Mods if you feel this should be in the state forum - so be it, but I wanted to get a larger group to help me figure out who this might have been, please help because I'd like to hear what other's think.

I mean who travels with so much security??? Thanks Duers!

or a bunch of the Saudis who own Bush. Maybe they were in town to get a partial refund?

Hastert was in town on Monday stumping for Sam Johnson..would he have stuck around for 2 more days, though, is the question. I'll scan the local news/papers to see who else may have been around here this week.

Just read that bush was in Texas in Sugarland trying to stump for delay's old seat I think it was Monday. Could that have been it. I read it on another site I can't remember where.

6. Bush was in Sugar Land, TX Monday

He spoke at the Sugar Land Regional Airport. However he flew out of Houston's Ellington Field.

Maybe some of his followers stayed behind & went to Dallas to trick or treat?.

Thanks for the info. I did find that Bush was in Sugarland on Monday... but nothing about him being in Dallas.

That's a good idea to call the Dallas Morning News and I might tomorrow... figured I wouldn't get much help tonight... I also wondered if that's something they would tell a random caller.

Anyway, I'll keep checking this thread and I'll let you all know if I find out anything.

I figured that if I was that close to Bush I would have started retching uncontrollably.
