Mom votes early in Vegas....
...let me tell you what she encountered:

She said that she had to vote THREE times to get the damned electronic machine to accept her votes. She had to get assistance ALL THREE times to reset the machine because it wouldn't record her votes. The person assisting her was rude, acting like she was bothering him. She's a Democrat. She said that the votes for Democrats on the machine 'wouldn't take'. The votes for some other things took OK. Referendums, etc. And she'll NEVER KNOW that her votes were counted, OR counted correctly. NO reciept - just a screen afterward showing how her votes were FINALLY (after three tries) 'recorded' (NOT how they would be counted).

I asked her what the brand name of the machine was (Diebold, ES & S, Sequoia, etc.). She didn't know.

This is DESPICABLE.

THIS is what type of crap we are voting on? :wtf:

2. Where in Las Vegas did she vote? I voted yesterday at the Von's
Center at Warm Springs and Durango. I didn't have any of the problems you describe.

Additionally, all voting machines in Clark County are supposed to print a paper ballot that can be checked before registering the final vote. My did.

Your mother should contact the Clark County Elections Department.

8. I don't know where she voted.
Not familiar with Vegas. Not even sure what county she lives in.

3. I wonder how many extra votes the Cons are getting from Dems
with these machines. Seriously! People are reporting they had to 'vote three times'. It's going to be very interesting on election night when the machines show there are 22% more votes cast than the sign-in voters.

4. It's bizarre that the machines' flaws are so obvious
Why does a Democratic vote show up Republican on the screen, when hackers can switch all they votes they want to at the tabulator level?

I mean, I'm glad that the flaws are visible to the naked eye... I'm just puzzled about why those tracks wouldn't have been covered.

7. Invented "chaos" makes it harder to pin down to "one thing"
and gives credence to the "glitch theory"..

Glitch is a cutesy word anyway..sounds so innocent :eyes:

9. 2004 "glitches" went almost universally for Repugs...
why do we still call them "glitches?"

a "glitch" is spurrious. votes flipping for Repugs nearly 100 percent of the time is NOT SPURRIOUS. it's a PATTERN.

6. Nevada is a paper trail state and uses all Sequoia Edge voting machines.
It sounds like they're not telling people about the VVPAT, though it should be easy to see as it's mounted right next to the screen.
