Is Saddam's Sentencing The "November Surprise"?
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 11:58 AM by JABBS
A Columbia University prof, talking to The Nation, thinks that an orchestrated "November surprise" to assist Republican candidates will be the Nov. 5 sentencing of Saddam Hussein.

Rove Has No More Rabbits To Pull Out of His.......Hat
There won't be any surprises, because even the surprises are not breaking his way. Rove is hamstrung by his co-conspirators. After all, you can't really make a silk purse out of sow's ears, no matter how good you are with magic.

This tawdry little melodrama will gring to its lamentable end, and if we are diligent little partisans and patriots, most of the perpetrators will eventually get what they deserve.

Meanwhile the real work will get done as usual by the people with small p. Let's just hope that we get some non-psychopathic People in charge, this time, and I don't mean Hillary!

2. Does anyone really care about his sentence? Or him, for that matter?
Sorry, he doesn't do anything for me either way.

3. It just seems so unlikely. What are the odds that out of ALL the days possible from the start of the
trial until the end that the verdict would land TWO days before the U.S. midterm elections?

Well, it seems like the odds are low because they had to SCHEDULE the verdict. And I don't know much about it but are verdicts regularly scheduled so far in advance?

4. I think the only response from voters will be the sound of a loud "DUH...."
I bet most folks think he's already been found guilty and put away.

(we need a yawn smiley)

5. It is unlikelly that any one will care...
First of all who doesn't expect him to be found guilty and sentenced to death. That would be the surprise if he isn't found guilty by the kangaroo court. He should be at the Hague not in IRaq like all other war criminal trials.

Bush and the loosers will get to talk about it for a day and that is about all. Nobody really give a crap because you know at the ned of the day the way things are right now no matter what the repukes say not ONE NOT ONE of the 2,800 american soldiers lives lost and the tens if not hundreds of thousands of civilian lives was worth losing so we could find this man guilty and execute him. It would have been better to leave him where he was and contain him thne having the mess we are in now.

6. Any reminder of the events in Iraq is bad for pissypants..
Pissypants has killed as many or more Iraqis as Sadaam.

He should be on trial there as well.

8. If it is then it isn't much of a surprise. The outcome of that trial run
by *ss and Co. has been understood since the day they caught him.
