24. Did the whole list - interesting side note

on the web forms. I noticed a big difference in the listed "hot topics" from Senator to Senator. Some had Civil rights, for example, as a topic you could select, while others didn't. Anyone else notice this? I really creeped me out to think that most of them were dems and didn't have some of the issues concerning this nomination listed as a hot topic in their drop down menus. :shrug:

I'm not from Lousiana but I gave to show support of Louisiana's tragedy as it is part of the United States. So am I.

You have a lot of nerve not joining in the filibuster. This is of one of the most abhorrent judges guaranteed to threaten the constitution and insure the continuation of the policies and secrecy of the most dangerous and power crazy president in U.S. history.

Did you listen to the confirmation hearing ? What about Bill Clinton who jumped in to generate millions for your constituents because he thought it was critical that he do so? Now you don't think it's important enough to jump in and save our constitution?

If you refuse to honor the Democrats hard fought victories and values, and those who elected you Senator, you disgust me. You dishonor everything that Bill Clinton has done for you. And tried to put in place.

but her intent has to be put into context with what she said. She said it is not worth tying up the Senate for several days because they need to get back to the funding for Katrina. Did you know that???

This was confirmed in a reply to me on another original I posted. They called her office and this is what they were told. This is an affront to what every Democrat has already tried to do for her. She is taking her cause (which by the way is not without many dollars already) and holding the entire future of this country hostage with it. For the sake of a few days monumentally important threat to what we are about to suffer, lest we prevent it.

The soft, begging, unoffensive comment is not appropriate at all for this Senator. It will get lost in the maze of all the other pleas to reconsider. She needs to be jolted out of her chair with tell-it-like-it-is brutally tough love right now. So when she looks in the mirror she realizes what she's constitutionally duty bound to do Monday.
