The first DKos post was Kerry, but he probably has an aide do the actual typing. I would bet this is typed up first and approved and then put on DKos. It's not that hard to phone the Senator and give him an update on how it's going.

I didn't cast a vote, cuz I don't see the conflict. I can't imagine that the Senator wouldn't personally approve something like this. It's a big, big move. No staffer can do this. An announcement for other things, yeah, but this had to have been approved and proofed for content. It's just too big not to.
