Poll question: If Kerry succeeds, does he win a second look from you for 2008?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 10:39 PM by Heaven and Earth
Considering the magnitude of (just barely) shutting down Alito with a filibuster, I would think some people might be willing to give Kerry a second chance when he runs again, if the filibuster succeeds. What say you?

17. He ran an incompetent campaign.
he allowed the repubs to lie about him without addressing it. he hasn't a snowballs chance in hell. His place is in the senate, there he has my full support.

21. Well if you didn't know
Kerry failed at his Congressional campaign and his first campaign with the Senate but he didn't give up and people supported him and he actually learns from his mistakes.

2. Instead of silly polls, why don't you do a little more to help him
convience the fence sitting Dems to get on board.

3. I've been saying JK 2008 since November 3rd.
So this didn't change my mind. :P

I sincerely hope some people give him a closer look now - he deserves it, because NO ONE has fought as hard as he has all year for us.

11. I'm with you.
Kerry 2008. I thought he'd make a great president in 2004 and nothing has changed my mind about that.

6. Just for trying, He gets extra points with me
Any leadership at this point, I'll take it!

I've always liked Kerry, I'd choose him over Hillary (and being a female, I'd love to have female president to flaunt!)

Glad Kerry is putting up a fight. I'm still indecided on who I want in '08. But if Kerry is our nominee again, of course I am voting for him! :hi:

I would also choose Kerry over H. Clinton in the primary if those were the only two left on the ballot.

12. The fact that Kerry filibustered Alito, even if he fails
is good enough reason to embrace him over all the others. I am sure that Hillary is polling as we speak!

8. 2008 is a pipe dream for any Dem unless we concentrate on THIS year!
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 10:49 PM by _dynamicdems
I love John Kerry, but what if the man doesn't end up running? We need to concentrate on this year and take 2008 as it comes.

There is a lot of Republican ASS to kick out of office before we start thinking 2008. Let's do what we can about Alito and getting as many House and Senate Repugs out of office first, lest we all wake up to find our laws changed and Shrub appointed for life! :scared:

9. Bottom line for me is this - I support whoever exposes the machine fraud.
It would be great if it's Kerry, because I trust that he will open the books on BCCI and IranContra and prove what criminals the Bush gang really are once and for all.

But, if it's someone else that exposes the machine fraud, well, that's the only person who CAN WIN.

13. Succeding in this would show real leadership
Something I have not yet seen from him. I would give him a second look if he can somehow manage to derail the Alito nomination, but I don't really expect him to succeed.

I'll be voting for anti-war candidates in '06 and '08.
