Why are we letting the Rs keep saying "litmus test". |
Alito wouldn't have been nominated if he hadn't passed their litmus test. Remember the hew and cry of the RR surrounding Harriet whatsherface--that she might not be conservative enough, didn't know if she could be counted on to vote the right way on issues around Roe v. Wade? He definitely passed some sort of litmus test on their side and it is political on their part regardless of how much they caterwaul about "not legislating from the bench." It really makes me angry that no one responds to this line of BS.

2. Litmus test, like activist judge, depends on POV. |

3. But the problem is that the Rs are presenting themselves |
as being neutral/background/the standard and that every other idea or opion is radical. They are getting away with this on many levels and we are letting them get away with defining arguments and us continually. I'd like to hear someone on our side start talking about how Alito has passed the litmus test of the RW ideologues.

4. I cannot imagine that these issues are not being |
discussed-vociferously. The problem may be that there is simply no connection, no line to the outside. Of course I could be totally wrong-there is some evidence of that.
