When we retake Congress
We'll have so many investigations on our hands that we might just have to rename ourselves from the Democratic Party to the Gumshoe Party.

So many investigations, so many subpoenas to serve, and so little time to do it all in.

1. I'm looking forward to the work
I'm a former special investigator on personnel matters. I think that I will have my pick of jobs once this Congress gets rolling. The repub congress just closed the Office of the Special Investigator General for Iraqi Reconstruction. If you conduct investigations on fraud and personnel suitability you will be in heavy demand, hopefully, come March of next year.

2. That, and repealing laws right and left, I hope. Though Bush will
try to veto.

That's ok. I don't believe Pelosi's "impeachment is off the table" bit for one minute.

5. Tell me about it! We can't govern without full De-Nazification and that process
--dismantling the secretive unaccountable police state created by the Bush cabal and the Rape-os in Congress--will take so long to complete through hearings and investigations that it will never be completed if we neglect normal governance, which as already said will be very difficult to carry out without a thorough de-Nazification, which as already said, can't be completed quickly and thus threatens to swamp normal governance duties, which as already said are hardly practical without full de-Naz...

It could be that Bush has succeeded in so destroying our form of government that it can never be fully restored. As much as I chafed at the way things were before Bush, that change would be a horrible outcome. I wanted our democracy amended and improved by consent --not irreversibly mutilated by dictat.
