I think Michael J. Fox is helping to tip a number of elections our way |
|
He is bringing star power to a number of campaigns and the stem cell issue will bring a lot of moderate republicans and independents over to our side.
Thank you Michael and thank you Rush Limbaugh for making your side look like cold hearted nut cases!

3. I think Rush Limbaugh deserves more of the credit. |
|
I never even saw the Fox commercials, and wouldn't have heard of them if Limbaugh hadn't been his usual self about them.
Thanks, Rush. You'll get a footnote in some history books. Probably alongside Father Coughlin.

6. It's so funny because I caught two minutes of his show today and |
|
a lady called in and thanked him for treating people with disability's as "normal" people. Rush then went on to say that history would eventually show him to be ahead of his time and brilliant!
I then began to start laughing out loud in my car!
They just don't get it! It's not that we shouldn't treat them as "normal" people but saying someone is "faking" their symptoms who is clearly suffering big time is just insane and extremely cold hearted!

12. That mistake by Rush was 100 times worse than Kerry's joke |
|
It's costing them dearly! Kerry's on the other hand, probably fired up our base into the stratosphere!
At every campaign stop they rip on Rush and it's a beautiful thing!

Michael has class and Rush has a fat ass.
It's obvious who the voting public will appreciate more when they go to the polls.

14. Cooper from CNN had an interview with Michael the other day. |
|
some of the best CNN ever seen. Anderson asked the right questions and Fox answered beautifully.
One thing I learned, the spasmodic moves Fox makes is because of medication, not (necessary) the disease. If he was unmedicated at this far point, he'd become rigid - even to point of not being able to swallow.
Cooper asked him about 'what it's really like, how do you physically feel'. F: well, it's like being in a car, on a joy ride, you have no control, you just are there. (paraphrasing)
C asked about 'partisanship' and Fox supporting Dems in support stem research, Fox said, well, I'll help anyone in that matter, but so far only democrats are willing.
what a blessed soul that Mike is. Stress is Not Good for Parkinsons patients, and he is willing and happy to put his message forward nonetheless.
about Limbaugh. he's passed it off. It's not about me, it about the big conversation.

15. I'll admit I only knew MJF the actor previously, but have gained respect for the MAN, now |
|
Sorry, I had to condense the headline.
I have watched and enjoyed many movies featuring Michael J Fox over the years but had never developed the level of respect for him that I have, until I watched two recent interviews of Michael's.
My uncle died of Parkinsons about 30 years ago. I can recall when they were trying a new drug on him called L-Dopa or something like that. It did not mean alot to me so forgive me if my memory is sketchy.
I know many more loved ones must have died since then.
If I had this disease and had the means to go on TV to appeal for a means to combat this disease, I would...even if it would not come in time for my own cure.
I dare say I could never muster the grace that Michael J Fox is showing.

16. Your post brought tears to my eyes. |
|
Michael has been kind, smart, fair, diplomatic, charismatic and shown incredible heart and determination. He has not taken the bate and attacked back but reached out and respected both sides! He is showing us a civility that is rare and beautiful! People see all this, and while they may not be able to put all these qualities together in their head they are subconsciously understanding exactly what he is all about! He is a beautiful rare person and he will go down in history as a true hero who turned the tide on stem cell research which will eventually lead to the betterment of millions of lives!
Michael J. Fox is a true American Hero!

18. I believe many of us have been moved by Michael J Fox |
|
My life was enriched just by watching the interviews. Yes, they made me cry, but his strength and grace blew me away.
And yes, he will make a difference in people's lives....I just KNOW IT.
