So now Kerry's a crazy partisan opportunist - They said that during BCCI
too, and 5 years down the road Kerry was proven right, even AFTER the entire DC powerstucture turned on him, blocked his investigations, planted attack stories against his character and his motives, and he was ostracized by many including most of his own party.

Fake journalists often describe Kerry as a DC elite insider, but nothing can be further from the truth. NO ONE POLITICIAN has been shunned by the powerful elite in DC more than Kerry.

Why? Because he's had a lifetime commitment to OPEN government. Open to the people. Open so corruption is seen in full, understood, and cleansed.

BCCI revelations would unmask the ugliest agenda this country has ever seen. They will always work to stop Kerry, including some of the Dem elite.

Expect more planted attacks for at least a week. The NYT article was just a start.

4. Search for Octafish threads - they're loaded with BCCI info.
This attack the media is launching on Kerry over filibuster is the same they did when he started investigating BCCI.

And BCCI is never really in the past - everything happening today from 9-11 to Iraq war policy is rooted in IranContra and BCCI.

2. When I sent my thank you email
to him for standing up and trying to rally for filibuster I told him that we knew he was going to be killed in the press. I also told him that he is one man who I knew could deal with it. I told him we had his back. Whatever. I hope he knows that we know this for what it is and that we do appreciate him standing up.

5. Thanks - the hardest job in DC is opening the door on the corrupt because
there are so many who will stand to block that move every time.

Saw it in Cleveland in the 70s and watching it in DC since the 80s. It's disgusting.

10. It has always been so
but I don't think I have ever known of a more disgusting, less honorable group than the NeoGopers. It is not like going up against them before, this is almost impossible.

What is killing me is the fact that so many people who express these nasty things to me defend what they are saying by saying, "Well I heard it on the liberal news so even you people don't like it!" Of course liberal news is anything but Fox and lately there has been concern that they are getting too left (:wtf:).

I am at a loss here, totally uncertain that there is anything left to be done. We need to keep trying. As angry as I got at Kerry after the election I would be willing to forgive it all just to see him up there trying for us. If nobody or just a few support him I am registering as an independent. They are going to have to win me back as sad as that is. It will be one of the saddest days in my life because so much of me identifies as a Democrat. At least I can pick and choose who I send my money to without the party calling all the time. Kerry will benefit as will Kucinich and quite a few actually but never those that can't support Kerry in this.

11. He shouldn't have even been the one to lead this - but Kennedy got so beat
up during the hearings he needed someone else to join him. Kerry was scheduled to be out of the country at this time.

It really should have been a Judiciary Dem but no one was stepping up, no doubt because the media is merciless when it comes to attacking and questioning motives of Dems.

12. Exactly another reason to consider
forgiving him for not screaming about the election. I do understand there are a lot of things to consider but damn I was mad at him.

I am very proud that he is doing this and also very grateful. I am not keeping up today so I hope to come back in later and find that he has support.

3. It's ok I've been called a Fringe leftist
by a Du'er! lol.. because I believe in holding politicians accountable, no matter who and what party they belong to.

Funny now holding people's feet to the flame suddenly became a "extreme left wing philosophy"

I'm with ya and him. Government should be open it's the only way to keep people honest. It's been closed for 6 years now, and look how corrupt it's become!

6. the people who call you that are part of the problem .ignore them.
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 10:24 AM by jonnyblitz
they are assholes. if they don't expect anything from their representatives the representatives don't feel obligated to be accountable for anything. we have a bunch of lunatics running the show and we can't afford to sit back and be silent. these people who call you names can go to hell for making it worse.

I am sick and tired of these people that you refer to. don't let them intimidate you into silence.

8. I hear ya. People need to recognize legitimate dissent and the potstirrers
aimed at dividing the party.

I think the differences are apparent.

7. This is why some Dems will always stand against Kerry - open books scare
everybody who has something to hide for the help they gave, some naively, to strengthen the tentacles of the BFEE.
