This will probably be my last long post on DU until after the election. I am volunteering to run an office for the next 3.5 days. We're doing major GOTV for a couple of good candidates.

You should try to do the same. DU should come to a screeching halt the next 4 days. There is nothing left to talk about that is more important than GOTV. So say goodbye to DU until Wednesday and lets go win some elections!

5. Good for you. I live in a liberal city in a blue state, so I'll stay here and hold down the fort.

While you're out pounding the pavement, I'll be here posting news and comments for the folks who go online to find answers, of which there are many. There are so many new members here at DU! It's a good sign that we're having some success. Hopefully, our combined efforts will pay off.

6. I'm not doing as much as you, but

I will be out GOTV at 9 this morning, 11:30 tomorrow, and 5 on Monday. I expect it will total 10-12 hours. I was also calling at Dem headquarters on Monday, and door knocking on Saturday. Thanks for encouraging folks to get out there.

7. I live in the most Democratic state in the Union..

although the Republicans just pulled a dirty trick on Whitehouse,
the people here understand, unfortunately, Chafee has to go. The
country's life force is more important right now than Chafee's
single Republican vote against Bush.

Hopefully it will give him time to reflect, and join us, or turn Indy.
