needing a lift tonight, I just clicked on whatever CD was in my changer . . .
and the first one to pop up was . . .

For Our Children (Benefiting the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

if you haven't heard this album, you're missing out on something special . . . (it's no longer in print, but you can find new and used copies on amazon.com and elsewhere) . . . the first song is exactly the kind of uplift I needed tonight -- Give A Little Love by Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers . . . partial lyrics:

We got to give a little love, have a little hope
Make this world a little better

Whoa, oh, oh
Oh, oh, whoa

Livin’ in this crazy world
So caught up in the confusion
Nothin’ is makin’ sense
For me and you

Maybe we can find a way
There’s got be a solution
How to make a brighter day
What do we do

We got to give a little love, have a little hope
Make this world a little better
Try a little more, harder than before
Let’s do what we can do together

the rest of the CD is playing now, reminding me just how special it is . . . here's the track lineup . . .

1. Give A Little Love - Ziggy Marley And The Melody Makers****
2. This Old Man - Bob Dylan
3. Cushie Butterfield - Sting
4. Mary Had A Little Lamb - Paul McCartney
5. The Ballad Of Davy Crockett - Stephen Bishop
