"Wake up call" for candidates in WV, NE, LA, CA
Please distribute this alert as widely as possible

ACTION PAGE: http://www.nocrony.com

With instructions below on how YOU can challenge wayward senators in their own primary
elections

We accomplished our overnight objective from the last alert. Senators Kerry and
Kennedy were inspired to step up to the plate to lead a filibuster of the Alito
nomination, and we applaud them for their leadership. A cloture vote has been forced
for Monday, January 30 at 4 PM, on an Alito filibuster, which the mainstream media
had written off as a possibility.

NOW, here's what we do next

1) We of course rally every voice we can to speak out our senators demanding that
they support a filibuster against the Alito unitary executive agenda. But since
many are telling their senators that they will no longer vote for them if they do
not support the people's filibuster, we must ALSO

2) Immediately field primary election challengers against those senators up for
election this year who will not protect our Supreme Court from a reactionary takeover.
We must pressure those who have already stated they will perversely vote for Alito,
Byrd (WV) and Nelson (NE), and also Landrieu (LA) and Feinstein (CA), who may vote
"No" but have stated they still oppose a filibuster.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE IN WEST VIRGINIA WITH A CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE OF THIS
SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, AT MIDNIGHT. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED IN RUNNING THEY
MUST ACT AT ONCE.

Nebraska and California also have deadlines within weeks. Full details below.

The bottom line is that any senator who betrays the interests of the people by not
supporting this filibuster must NEVER hold public office as a Democrat again. If
the will of the people is not heard at the cloture vote, it WILL be heard in every
election from now on. To this cause we dedicate our Lives, our Fortunes and our
sacred Honor.

THE CONSTITUENT RALLY

The most important and critical thing we must do is generate as many phone calls
as possible. Personal phone calls are the highest impact way to make your opinion
known. We have been told that calls and faxes to the senators' LOCAL district offices
are given the highest weight. You can look up all their number in an instant at

http://www.nocrony.com

You should try the local numbers first, leave messages there and then ALSO try them
in Washington where you can call any senator toll free at 888-355-3588, 888-818-6641
or 800-426-8073. We need get as much done on this today, a day we are calling Filibuster
Friday II, while they will definitely be in their offices. And then we need to keep
it going all weekend long, as long as there is a senator's answering machine connected
anywhere.

Now that we know how close we are to winning it will be much easier to inspire everyone
else you know to also speak out. Remind them that the mainstream media lied by trying
to tell us there wouldn't even be a filibuster. If they don't think we can prevail
they have seriously misunderestimated the power of the people again.

All progressive blogs, news digest sites and opinion sites must dedicate a feature
section at the top of your main page for links and toll-free phone number to encourage
your visitors to speak out. http://www.buzzflash.com in particular is setting a
magnificent example with headlines to action links plastered all over their main
page. As a progressive community we control an ENORMOUS amount of conglomerate web
page space, which if applied in unison will be overpowering.

After you've made all your calls and sent all your faxes, you should sign the petition
at http://www.johnkerry.com/action/alito/, and you can send personal real time messages
direct to your senators internet gateways with the one click form also at http://www.nocrony.com

THE PRIMARY CHALLENGES

We the people are not kidding. Our senators WILL courageously fight for our rights
or we will be done with them. There can be no redemption for failure to stand up
against fundamentally altering the balance of our Supreme Court. This applies not
just to senators up for reelection this year. The people will remember. Even if
they got every other vote correct, we can and must do better, lest we risk having
them betray us in the future at a critical time again.

Especially for WV and NE, if you can get filed in the next day or two, hold a press
conference, contact your local media to get as much coverage as you can, and let
us know as soon as possible your intentions. For all senate candidates you must
be at least 30 years old, and a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years.

WEST VIRGINIA:

To be a candidate in the WV primary to oppose Robert Byrd you must have a "Certificate
of Announcement" (with filing fee) postmarked and in the mail NO LATER than
midnight, January 28, 2006, which is THIS SATURDAY! Here is the form which must
also be notarized.

http://www.wvsos.com/elections/candidates/documents/c1.pdf

There is also a "Candidate Name Pronunciation Form" which appears to be
required.

http://www.wvsos.com/forms/elections/c10.pdf

You will then have 10 days from the date of the filing of the Certificate of Announcement
to file a "Personal Financial Disclosure." This information was extracted
from the following pages to which you should refer.

http://www.wvsos.com/elections/candidates/candidateforms.htm

The primary election itself will take place on May 9, 2006.

Senator Byrd says he will not "tow the party line." We'll see if we can
inspire him to tow the people's line. Otherwise, you might be the next Democratic
senator from West Virginia.

NEBRASKA:

The deadline for filing the notarized "Candidate Filing Form for Partisan Office"
is March 1, 2006. Here is the form.

http://www.sos.state.ne.us/elec/pdf/partisan.pdf

The primary election will be held May 9, 2006. For more information please refer
to the following links:

Senator Ben Nelson has a voting record the envy of many of the senators of the other
party. Perhaps there are residents of Nebraska who do not feel he is faithfully
representing them. If you are one of them, you could be the next Democratic senator
from Nebraska.

LOUISIANA:

The Louisiana "Notice of Candidacy (Qualifying Form)" must be filed by
August 11, 2006. The filing fee can be waived if you collect 5,000 nominating petition
signatures with not less than 500 from each congressional district. This is the
form:

http://www.sec.state.la.us/elections/misc/qf42-rev-1-2005.pdf (qualifying form)

The primary itself will be held on September 30, 2006. All this information was
extracted from the following pages:

http://www.sec.state.la.us/elections/calendar-2006-elections.htm
http://www.sec.state.la.us/elections/elections-index.htm#cand
http://www.sec.state.la.us/elections/misc/z-bb-fees.pdf
http://www.sec.state.la.us/elections/misc/z-bb-qualifications.pdf

Like Byrd and Nelson, Landrieu was part of the "Gang of 14" that forced
the original craven filibuster compromise, which as we see today has gained us absolutely
nothing. Is she really the best Louisiana can do? If you are a resident that is
your call.

CALIFORNIA:

California is another state with fast approaching deadlines. Although the final
deadline for filing as a primary candidate is March 10, 2006, but if you want a
candidate statement to appear on the ballot you must submit that by February 14,
2006, and if you want to get the filing fee waived (by submitting 10,000 signatures)
that must be done by February 23, 2006.

We could not find a filing form on line, which apparently must be obtained directly
from the secretary of state. The primary election will be held on June 6, 2006.
For more information please consult the following.

Astoundingly, Dianne Feinstein had initially indicated she was leaning toward Alito,
and only agreed to vote "No" after much pressure from her mobilized constituents.
Recognizing that anything short of a filibuster is in fact a "Yes" vote,
there must be even more pressure to get her to REALLY protect a woman's right to
privacy, perhaps from a competing candidate if that might be you.

1. In all honesty, what's a primary challenger going to say about Byrd?
Yes, he's an icon and served us honorably and wonderfully for nearly 50 years. Yes, half the state is named after him. Yes, all the unions support him. And, yes, he pretty much always votes the way West Virginia would want its Senator to vote....but on this Alito thing, he voted in favor of Alito even though most of you are in favor of Alito. So, he failed to do his duty by voting against your wishes.

Vote for Me.

2. If a more liberal democraf runs against Landrieu
all it'll do is risk splitting the vote and allowing a single republican candidate a chance at getting 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff.
