Is the MSM off the hook now ?
One can't help but notice how all of a sudden the cable news outlets and major print media has turned on Bushco in a big way. Suddenly they are saying and reporting what's been on public display at this site and others, not to mention foreign press reporting, for the past 6 years.
After years of aiding, abetting and cheer leading the destruction of the country, I wonder if they'll just walk away as if nothing ever happened. Will they pretend that they too were "taken in " by a clever Karl Rove ? Once this cancerous cabal has been removed or neutered, will they be held accountable for their actions, as well as, their NON-actions ?
Or will it be another " down the memory hole " experience for historians to discuss years from now ?

I'm just wondering......

3. The media cares about RATINGS. That's IT.
They report on whichever way the wind blows. Right now people are fed up with the pukes, so they slant to the Dems. Except Fux news, of course, which is why their ratings are in the toilet right now.

5. We will soon have an opportunity to see how they "stand up"
against the Bush regime's plans for war with Iran. They sure as hell have been ominously silent about the the President's authorized release of nuclear secrets on the web, which makes the outing of Valerie Plame even more sinister. Or the gag orders, the call for more troops, the anti-Iraq and Bush military letters.

bleah they make me ill

7. No, No, No
How many times in the last day have you heard "great jobs numbers". Well outside of the bullshit unemployment percentage, the jobs growth and other economic numbers were dreadful.
But they cheerlead Bush going out there to boast about the economy.
The MSM still have a long way to go before we can call them journalist again.

8. With 655,000 dead Iraqis and nearly 3000 dead US military?
I think not. In my view, the MSM has to take an active and successful role in getting Bu$h and Cheney impeached and the entire Bu$h PNAC cabal in the dock at the Hague before they can begin to redeem themselves for the last six years.

10. The media needs to be broken away from the
corpo structure, that is the truth and we need a fairness doctrine back in the books. PERIOD

Nothing less will do, or you will a repeat of this... sooner than you expect

12. cable 'media' is...
riding a dead horse...but, necessity being the mother of invention, I would expect another medium to emerge. I don't think that new management or ownership can or should overcome the damage done by their lack of integrity.
