Just curious. How many on here are actually in a position to vote or not vote for Byrd, Nelson, Johnson, and possibly Landreiu or Salazar (I realize the latter two are not definites but it's looking that way) based off of this?

1. I'm a constituent of . . .
Kit "Fat Cat" Bond, and Jim "Dickweed" Talent.

Doesn't get much worse than that does it?

15. Me too - cornyn and hutchison.
Went to see our "moderate" Senate, Madame H's office.

They were super polite, and their politics were f'ing appalling.

19. Its great having them for Senators isn't it?
A lifetime politician and the other a trust fund baby who never had a real job. It sucks living in a state and having two Republican Senators, a Republican Gov, a Republican house member and even state level Republican representatives...

2. PA resident here
Santorum and Specter. Mr. hold my Fetus and Mr. Magic Bullet. Needless to say they can't lose a vote they never had from me.

FWIW I personally believe that Specter didn't actually win his seat back in 2004. His challenger was leading by a landslide and then all of a sudden Specter pulled ahead as if some magical wand was waved over the machines counting votes perhaps?

I look good in tinfoil. It brings out my eyes. :tinfoilhat:

4. I'm suprised the Landreiu people
Are not ringing her off the line. Emminent domain, I'm sure Alito will stand against it and allow people to keep their land.

18. I'm in NE, too...
*sigh* I did call earlier in the week. I even called Hagel, too. The Hagel staff people were actually much nicer and more patient than the Nelson people. As soon as the Nelson staffer knew what my position was, he couldn't get me off the phone fast enough--and I was polite and succinct, too. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth using my cell phone minutes to call Nelson again this afternoon. (We got rid of our land line last year.) I'd like to ask him why he is supporting Alito, and ask him to please at least abstain from the cloture vote.

23. I know being a costituent is important
but call even if you're not - when I call the Dems I start every call with I'm not a constituent but when it comes to a vote on a lifetime appointment we're all constituents - and also tell them I am a life long Dem so in that way I'm a costituent too....
