Over 48% of Americans (of all party affiliations) voted Democratic in 2004. Absolutely NO Republican Senator is accommodating the interests of Democratic voters in his or her state! Not one! When Senators who call themselves "Democrats" also abandon the interests of those who supported them, that's political betrayal! Senate Democrats have a moral and ethical obligation to support a filibuster of Alito and represent the interests of those who Republican Senators consistently and uniformly refuse to represent!

When 50% of American cannot obtain 41% of the representation in the Senate, democracy goes down the drain. Alito DOES NOT have the support of 60% of Americans.
