I think that is the attitude of most Democrats here. We think this is a very serious vote. We believe Democrats have to take a stand somewhere. If they can't take it here, where can they take it? Either we are out of touch with our Party or our leaders are out of touch with us? Which is it? It's not good enough to look back, as with the vote on the Iraqi war, and say, "I told you so". Who are they listening to? Who pays their salaries? Who can send them home?
