Where was Dennis Miller this week? He was supposed to do a weekly appearance on Hannity & Colmes called "Real Free Speech." But this week has come and gone and Miller was nowhere to be found on the show. Miller's last appearance was a mean-spirited rant against Nancy Pelosi that left even Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes looking unamused. It also earned him a "Worst Person In The World" award from Keith Olbermann. I predicted right after Miller's unhumorous first Hannity & Colmes appearance that he would not last long. But who knew that Nancy Pelosi might be his undoing? Now THAT would be funny.

2. I used to be a Dennis Miller fan.

I still think he is a sharp intelligent and talented guy.
I am more recently also convinced he has a serious screw loose
or an agenda that I am at a loss to fathom.

I also got a chuckle out of Dennis during his SNL and HBO days, but I found his condescending rants to be mean spirited...even when he was considered a "liberal". He hit the freak-out button on 9/11 and that's when his spiral began. In his fall from reality, he also lost a lot of the contacts and writers who made him funny despite himself. Kinda a sad story.

to talk about, we must talk about Fox News. I continue to be amazed how much time is wasted discussing them. I rate Dennis right down there with the rest of the Right Wing Talking Heads.....not worthy of a comment.

That's fine...all opinions are welcome...that's what a Discussion Board is supposed to be for.

There's the saying to hold your friends near, hold your enemies nearer...and Newshounds does a great job of doing that. I refuse to watch Faux Noise, but I still want to know what spin they're putting out there because, unfortunately, it has become part of the national discourse and must be understood and confronted.

I saw the Miller rant on Pelosi last week on Crooks & Liars, it was as vicious attack as I've heard on any public figure. Should we remain silent when such vile stuff is put out? It was that mindset that helped push memes against Al Gore, John Kerry, Howard Dean and many other. Ignore at your own peril.

9. He's a bitter jerk and a fraud

"Learned to conform" after getting run off Monday Night Football when the usual Rush Limbaugh types labeled him a "liberal" (because of course anyone who has a show on premium cable must be liberal) and said ABC was just trying to push politics during football. Instead of being pissed at the liars, he joined 'em.
