This is my 1000th Post. :headbang:

I thought I'd have something more profound to say. Well it's late Saturday night and I don't feel like spending all day tomorrow thinking about it.

Besides, there is no way I can compete with the brilliant minds here. I'm just a regular guy, not a journalist, not a filmmaker, and I have no time to protest as I'm struggling to support a family of four. Sorry, I just have certain reasons for believing that my online diatribes and chimings in can make a difference.

I guess I'll dedicate this post to this idea. Please...

Seriously, what does the Republican party represent? Greed... denial... psychopaths....

We're trapped in this two party system where even if one party wins the other is just waiting for their chance to take control back. I plead the Democratic politicians to stop this cycle. We don't need Republicans any more. They've proved their incompetence at wielding the military. Their supposed prowess at handling money is now just an academic skill that can be learned by reading a book or going to business school. And they all live in a bubble with no care whatsoever about society.

I won't bother listing all the other options available because I know that anyone can explore them online. It's just that the Republican party represents nothing positive. People should no sooner vote Republican than for the Nazi or Fascist parties.

I understand the stereotype that Republicans are suit and tie wearing capitalists but that idea has been debunked. Being a red tie wearing money grubbing 'shark' does not suit a nation. Almost everyone wants to make money but that can't be the basis of government. It makes no sense. It's a ruse.

I really really really hate the Republican party. And I am so grateful that I am not alone. Thanks DU!

2. Congratulations.

i've been there with not much to say. Wish we had more choices and maybe we will one day. It is time for big changes in this whole system. Very hard to wrest away the powers that be though. I think you will see it in your lifetime. I like your proposal---Destroy The Republican Party.
