BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's High Tribunal found Saddam Hussein guilty of crimes against humanity on Sunday and sentenced him to die by hanging. His half-brother, Barzan Ibrahim, was also sentenced to death by hanging.

Former vice president Taha Yassin Ramadan was sentenced to life in prison Sunday as verdicts were issued in the deposed Iraqi leader's trial.

Chief Judge Raouf Adbul-Rahman read the verdicts of the defendants in increasing order of importance.


Question...will he hang today or is he entitled to an appeal??

2. The worst trial in history

The worst pretence of a trial down to the date of sentencing. I hate Saddam but this trial was a violation of international law and a dangerous precedent.

What a fucking joke....he would be at the Hague at a REAL trial if they weren't afraid of what he would spill about his ex-biz partners Rummy, GHWB etc....
