8. If there is a 'civil war' the Uhmurrikans have to stay and HELP!
at least, that's the flimsy excuse.. sort of like, "...look at the kids on the playground, we can't leave them unsupervised..."

BAGHDAD - Rival groups of Iraqis protested for and against ousted dictator Saddam Hussein on Sunday as they waited impatiently for a verdict in his trial for crimes against humanity.

With the opening of the Baghdad court hearing delayed, crowds gathered in the Sadr City district of east Baghdad outside the offices of one of Saddam’s most implacable foes, radical Shia cleric Moqtada Al Sadr.

They demanded Saddam’s execution, and while the rest of Baghdad was locked down by a total curfew, the Shia population of Sadr City went about their business as normal in an area controlled by Sadr’s Mahdi Army militia.

Meanwhile, 260 kilometres (160 miles) north of the capital in the Sunni town of Dawr, near Saddam’s hometown of Tikrit, the mood was completely different.

According to a spokesman for the local joint security coordination centre, scores of Sunni demonstrators gathered to demand that Saddam be exonerated.
