Hillary Clinton is supporting the fillibuster of Alito! I just got off the |
|
phone with her office.
I received an email from Democrats.com which said that Hillary was opposing the filibuster. The person in Clinton's office said that was the wrong information, and Hillary supports any move to block Alito's confirmation!

4. I'm hoping they can accomplish the filibuster by simply |
|
not voting on the cloture motion.

Maybe they can just keep talking and refuse to yield the floor. I wonder if that's possible.

6. the point is that 60 senators must vote FOR cloture |
|
if enough abstain then there cannot be cloture. That's how I understand it.
