Phone calls are not enough. We need to be going to their local offices. |
|
For those of us that live in cities where those Senators who have either said they will oppose a filibuster, or are on the fence, I think we need to be going to their offices in groups to further explain why America cannot afford another extremist individual to be placed in such a seat of power by this Administration. For those close to Washington D.C., I propose you might go to their offices and show your support for a filibuster.
These are the Senators that need to be hearing from us, in person if we can:
Senator Biden Senator Lincoln Senator Dayton Senator Pryor Senator Reid Senator Feinstein Senator Landrieu Senator Jeffords Senator Collins Senator Snowe Senator Spector (I know, but he needs to hear from us too.) Senator Reed
And all the other Senators who have either said NO, or who are undecided.
I don't think the calls are enough now.

2. Lincoln's local office is right across the street, |
|
but I've already told her rep how I feel. He agrees with me. Not so sure about her take on it. Do I need to walk over and see him?

Go to the Arkansas forum and see if there's other people who can go with you. And even on Monday, if you can't get it together today. Call your local Dem Party and ask if there's anybody there who will go with you. I really do think it would make a difference.

Contact other DUers, and your local Dem Party, and just head to the closest office. The local people will forward that info on.

5. You can't astroturf people. Excellent idea. |
|
The more people they see who take the time to go to the offices, the better.
