does anyone honestly think that they'll let the house and/or senate slip away?
especially when supeona power is at stake...
i'm really HOPING that the people's true will shall prevail- but i refuse to get my hopes up TOO high...i'll believe it when i see it.
anyone else being haunted by demons of pessimism about tuesday...?
i can't be the only one.

There is absolutely no reason for rethug candidates to be suddenly gaining in the polls, but that is what "seems" to be happening. I know without doubt that Rove WOULD manipulate polls if he could, but can he?
I also know without doubt that the rethug leadership WOULD steal the election if they could. But can they?
Not withour manipulating the polls, they can't.

That they counted on this many seats being in contention. Did anyone?
All the scandals, the indictments, the resignations. Not to mention a welter of candidates suffering from foot-in-mouth disease

...I can't help but think there will be hell to pay. With even conservatives writing editorials for Dems to take congress, and for an "intervention" to stop Bush, with rumors of generals and the military being on the verge of dissent, if not rebellion, how could they get away with it? In 2004 Peter Jennings smugly dismissed any thought of election fraud, as did all the other talking heads. But this time... this time Lou Dobbs will be the first to scream, Andrew Sullivan will be right next to him, and even Hitchens will chime in.
This time, it will be different.
