Dems have never been lockstep on much on anything. Whip them if you must, but you can;t throw them out of the party if they are in office?

If you want to throw them out because they do not vote your way on 100% of the votes that come up. We will never be the majority party in either house.


I hate that they are not supporting the Fillibuster, but if you kick them out of the party they could join the Republicans. Nelson and Johnson both have very conservative constiuencies they have to consider. Byrd is a bit of a mystery to me...but he is like from another planet anyway.

I had heard the term, but never understood what it really meant. Those are some sick individuals who invented that shit. I bet you they were exactly like our repressed repugs who came up with the concept. Cheney probably considers those times the "good old days."
