DUers with Republican Senators - CALL Democratic Senators in 'red' states!
Tell them that YOUR Senators are not representing YOUR values and interests.
Tell them that Senate Democrats 'represent' over 50% of American voters.
Tell them that if your own Senators don't represent YOUR values and interests there's no reason a Democratic Senator should represent their Republican voters who are ALREADY being represented by YOUR Senator.

Here's the point ...
No Republican Senator in a 'blue' state seems to feel the need to accommodate the Democrats in their state so why should a Democratic Senator accommodate the Republicans in that state. In doing so, the right is getting disproportionally more representation than the left!

This is neither 'democratic' nor 'republican'!

1. I have been
it is almost pitiful when I tell them that nobody here listens. I feel like an orphan, oh wait, I AM an orphan.

They usually listen politely, probably wondering why I don't have a life but I do it anyway.

 What else is a lonely Democrat in Kansas to do?

2. I'd go nucking futs in Kansas. Oh ... wait a minute ... I'm already futs!
I just haven't done any nucking in a long, long time. :silly:

Thankfully, in moving back to Michigan from California I kept the happy state of having two Democratic Senators. Sadly, I lost Mike Honda and lost again by getting Joe Knollenberg.

The fact of the matter is that "Democratic" Senators like Ben Nelson and Kent Conrad who look warily at their Republican constituency are failing to take adequate notice that Senators like Santorum and Specter demonstrate no such quid pro quo. I can only conclude that Senators like Conrad are either fools or liars. The clay feet of Democrats like Ben Nelson (in a 'red' state) are merely an excuse for hypocrisy.
