18. Yes, but if one does... |
|
Bush will have him/her and each member of their family audited for the next twenty years. Oh, and their country club membership will be revoked for five years. After that they can come in through the service entrance with the rest of the servants.

against Alito and for cloture. I wish RI would get rid of him. More RI towns: Point Judith, Westerly, E. Greenwich, etc.

8. Isn't he also something of a Civil Libertarian ? |
|
I think he is a strong defender of civil liberties, and i know he doesn't buy into this president's foreign policies.
He is disgusted with the boogyman enemy contrivances, saber rattling, anti-communist rhetoric targeted on Venezuela and Chavez.
He KNOWS and found dispicable the evil policies wrt to what our CIA did there in 2002 and all of our evil policies in Latin and South America, this all revealed with his remarks and questions to Condi Rice during her confirmation hearing last year.

15. Are you suggesting we pretend to be from RI? LOL |
|
I imagine they have caller ID anyway.
All the offices I've called have appreciated the call even though I'm not a constituent. I think they realize they aer in the US Senate and they have a responsibility to all Americans.

And e-mailed and went to his office in Warwick (where I live -- zip is 02888.) I'm not going for broke. I asked him to abstain from a cloture cote. He won't vote no on cloture and he won't vote no on Alito. But we don't need him to. We only need him to NOT vote on cloture at all.
My sister's letter to him said, "You sir, are not your father! Your father would be leading the filibuster!"
My sister had guts *G*
Not the way I went with my correspondence, but good for her.
