Former Prince George's County Executive Wayne Curry and five members of the County Council said the Democratic Party has taken them for granted and made them wait too long for an African-American at the top of the Democratic ticket. They will wait no longer.

"It's a distinct privilege and pleasure for me ... to be able to lend my name to this unprecedented effort on behalf of Michael Steele to be the United States senator from Maryland," Curry said.

cutting their noses to spite their faces. Dumbasses. Endorsing another Bush yes-man for the Senate is as good as supporting Bush himself. Steele's claims to be independent are hard to believe -- how many other Rethugs said the same thing during election, then fell in line like a bunch of spineless cowards!
