Pinellas, FL response to Video of unsecured voting machines:
Here's the email I got from them when I sent them the video. They didn't deny the machines were unsecure, but depend on paper stickers to see if they were "tampered with"...I don't know how hard it would be to fake a seal. Still seems weird to leave the machines unsecured.

Dear Sancho,

I cannot open the link to the video. However, if this is the video by
Leonard Schmiege, the voting machines in the video are sealed with
numbered seals (under the outer cases, which thankfully, they did not
remove). These were NOT in fact machines used for early voting, as they
had surmised. These were delivered to the precinct prior to election day
and did not contain any votes on them at this time. Furthermore, they do
not have any external ports that can be accessed with or without the
cover on.

On election day, when poll workers set up these machines, it would be
evident if the machines had been tampered with, as the numbered seals
locking the cartridge compartments would be broken. If that were the
case, we would immediately exchange those machines for additional ones
on standby at the Elections office. We did remind the men in the video
that tampering with election equipment is a felony, not a prank or a
demonstration.

Sincerely,

Nancy Whitlock

1. Don't need to tamper with machine to be able to hack it.
All one need to have "ONE" memory stick that goes inside the machine been tempered with.

2. Why should we believe this? Because they are from the
government and are here to help? What's a "cartridge?"

3. I don't trust Deborah Clark as far as I could throw her. She's a Bush appointee.
