Religious Right's Hypocrisy Hall of Fame

Yesterday, amid allegations of a three year affair with a male escort, Rev. Ted Haggard abruptly resigned from his position as president of the 30 million member strong National Association of Evangelicals.

Is this the most hypocritical scandal in the religious right's Hypocrisy Hall of Fame? Cast your vote below. As you'll see, Rev. Haggard's got a lot to live up to.

Which of these is the most hypocritical scandal in the religious right's Hall of Hypocrisy?

Jim Bakker: Paid hush money to his secretary with whom he was having an affair. Served five years in prison for fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering. Now paroled, televanglist Bakker hosts the "Jim Bakker Show."

Jimmy Swaggart: Admitted during televised Sunday morning sermon to having extramarital sex with a prostitute. Caught by a private investigator hired by a rival evangelist. Publicly chastised Bakker – another Hall of Hypocrisy finalist - for his own adulterous behavior a year prior.

Ralph Reed: Duped anti-gambling Christians – with buddy and disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff - into supporting his ploy to help casino interests. Cashed in to the tune of millions. Hailed by Time Magazine as the 'Right Hand of God.'

Ted Haggard: Abruptly resigned from presidency of the 30-million-member National Association of Evangelicals after male escort alleged that he had paid him for sex nearly once a month for the last three years. Haggard has long been a key leader of the religious right and a fervent opponent of same sex unions.

Have a Hypocrisy Hall of Fame story that isn't here? Let us know about it.
